When you stay at The Shieling you will never want to return to the hustle and bustle of the mainland ever again. The only traffic delays will be due to a few errant sheep! The views from some of the windows of this early 19th century semi-detached cottage with ornamental fireplace, reveal magnificent seascapes across to the Kintyre peninsula. Whilst staying on the Isle why not take the short ferry trip from Lochranza to Claonaig and discover a piece of Kintyre to add to your memories. One of the most southerly Scottish Isles, Arran encapsulates the grandeur and majesty of Scotland but all packaged within an accessible area 19 miles long by 10 miles wide. Your holiday adventure begins on the ferry from Ardrossan with views of Goat Fell, Brodick Castle and the ancient and spiritual Holy Isle. The Shieling can be booking independently or together with Achnacarry Cottage (CC539032) to accommodate the gathering of families and friends up to 12 people.
