Seaview is a traditional cottage located in a traditional Scottish clachan that has been fully renovated whilst keeping many of the original features to create a luxurious holiday home that offers contemporary living with a true ’cottage’ feel. It is located in the tranquil village of Corrie in an elevated position, otherwise known as ’High Corrie’. The property is accessed via a narrow, steep, but well maintained lane and offers stunning sea views across the Firth of Clyde.
The cottage was originally owned by a local sculptor and this is evident in the many features designed into the original stone walls and the unique staircase carved in the shape of ocean waves. It was previously the home of famed Scottish colourist John MacLauchlan Milne. The kitchen area has all the appliances required and has a dining table and chairs for family and friends to dine together. The living area enjoys the sea views and has large comfy sofas. The wood burner provides an attractive focal point set in the stone wall and creates a cosy atmosphere on the cooler evenings.
There is a double and a twin bedroom both with traditional low ceilings. Wardrobes and drawers have been built into the rafters, making maximum use of the storage space. Velux windows bring in plenty of natural light and a roll-top bath offers the perfect way to relax following a day’s walking.
Outside in the sea-facing garden there is space to relax in the sun and enjoy the views and listen to the burn that runs down the side of the garden.
It is located in the peaceful village of Corrie, only 6 miles from Brodick. Corrie has a children’s play park and a hotel which serves food and drink to the public and offers regular live music. Seaview is an idyllic spot to relax and get away from it all and a great base for your Arran holiday.

Seaview is an absolutely stunning property. We stayed for 4 nights in early May and were lucky with some fabulous weather. Corrie is an ideal base for walking, there’s a track up to Goatfell from the cottage. Seaview is beautifully furnished, really comfortable beds and sofas, a log-burner for the cool evenings. The Arran Team had prepared everything beautifully for our arrival and were exceptionally helpful when we were delayed. Can’t wait to return.
