Bracklinn is a beautiful traditional property located in a stunning location, with a large lawned garden and fantastic sea views across Blackwaterfoot Bay and towards the Mull of Kintyre from most rooms. It has been restored to provide a fantastic holiday home, and retains some original features such as the grand staircase and original feature fireplaces in some of the bedrooms. The living room is comfortable and bright and has a bay window, as does the dining room. Both double bedrooms and a twin bedroom are located at the front of the property, all with fabulous views out over the front garden and towards the sea. A children’s playroom complete with TV, PlayStation and a selection of board games is great for kids to have their own space. There is also a large store room is which is ideal for storing bikes, golf clubs, walking equipment and outdoor gear. Sitting in a great location and with a large garden makes it an ideal holiday home for families to enjoy. To the rear of the property is a small cottage occupied by the discreet owners who are on hand should you need advice or assistance during your stay.
Shiskine Golf Club is a 2-minute walk away which serves food and drinks to the public. The beach is also a couple of minutes walk away. Blackwaterfoot offers the best of both worlds being in a quiet area but close to all amenities. It is ¼ mile to the centre with shops, butchers, bakers, post office and a hotel with a bar, restaurant and leisure facilities.

We loved the house – really spacious, well furnished, wonderful views, splendid grassed areas for our grandsons to play cricket, football and boules, convenient parking, well positioned for beach, golf club, hotel, shops. The kitchen is on the small size for the size of the house, but was easy to work in and well equipped. The room with the extra fridges was great for dumping climbing gear and for airing clothes and storage. We all thought it would make a good and larger kitchen. The one drawback was that the house only had one bathroom. Thank goodness there was a separate toilet!! We didn’t use the ‘playroom’ at all and felt it would have served us (and probably other tenants) better as a second bathroom or if that isn’t a possibility it would be more use as an additional bedroom. It was a lovely holiday with the added bonus of wonderful weather.
